Training & Career Development Specialist – ChinaThe Position will be accountable for key aspects of capability development for the ESE China organization including the Career Development Program (CDP) and Internal Training. They will maintain close communication and interaction with the Career Development Program and Internal Training Groups in Des Plaines, India and EMEA. The Training and Career Development Specialist will support curriculum development and monitor the assignments given to our China Field Operating Services team to ensure strong technical growth, as well as driving training process improvements and cost efficiencies. Training will be provided in multiple platforms such as Web Based and Instructor Led training while demonstrating domain knowledge, product expertise, and knowledge of Honeywell’s Learning Management System (LMS) and other available mediums to enhance service delivery, engineering and equipment skill. They will review existing and develop new position specific training, mentoring matrixes and training plans to assure that the plans are comprehensive and fit for purpose.The CDP is a 2 year program that prepares university engineering graduates to work individually or as part of a small group to assist refining and petrochemical customers during unit start-up, troubleshooting or catalyst loading operations. This position manages the CDP hires during their 6-12 month assignment in Delhi. Accountabilities include working with other groups to develop suitable assignments that meet the CDP curriculum requirements. Managerial accountabilities include administering the Performance & Development process, explaining the employee’s role in it, setting measurable goals, assessing results & behaviors, completing Talent Assessment, identifying development actions and creating a development plan.This position will participate in the China ESE recruiting strategy to meet the CDP hiring program, working closely with Human Resources and other supporting groups in China.The Training and career Development Specialist will participate in the development of University relations in China to build the UOP network in high-achieving Chemical Engineering universities, working closely with the Honeywell University Relations department. Oversee recruitment and on-boarding processes for new hires into the CDP in China, working with Honeywell’s Global Management Services (GMS) and human resources to develop relevant assignments and resolve immigration issues.In collaboration and agreement with the CDP Manager in Delhi and FOS Managers in Delhi, Des Plaines and Guildford, this position is accountable for planning and scheduling of CDP learning events including logistics, coordinate and, as agreed, facilitate training including process technology, basic engineering, pilot plant curriculum and refinery experience for the CDP for all new hires.For non CDP employees, this position will lead development of skill assessment tools for use throughout the Technical Service, Engineering and Equipment organizations while effectively interfacing with UOP regional office management and staff to meet regional training needs, facilitate assessments of individuals to identify training and development program needs, and assist the Service Managers in the implementation of enhanced world-wide work processes which will increase our efficiency and allow us to increase the quality and quantity of service delivered to our customers while maintaining an appropriate level of resources and associated expenses.Skills/Qualifications:Bachelor's degree requiredAround 10 years of work experience with a minimum of 5 years experience in developing and/or delivering training, training tools, and training assessments is required.Good English skills - written and oralPresentation skills
