This is an exciting new opportunity to join Library, Research and Learning Resources (LRLR) at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China when we are building a new library.
Purpose of the New Role 新岗位目的
The Librarian (Research) will deliver specialist library services in support of research. The post holder will provide and promote a range of activities to include one or more of the following:
repositories and Open Access;
teaching and skills development for research;
metrics and impact;
research data management, including data visualisation;
research collections strategy;
copyright and publications;
and, support for research assessment exercises.

The Library is focused on new and emerging areas of research technology, including: the real-time visualisation of international measurements and metrics to give strategic research outputs the highest possible edge, influence and impact; innovative big data analytics, such as data capture, mining and analysis; and, the Internet of 'Things' where large-scale data visualisation technology in libraries can be networked through APIs, allowing librarians to collaborate with researchers to connect the physical and digital worlds.
As part of LRLR Research and Learning Services, the role holder will provide effective and efficient services to researchers in support of the University’s research goals and activities, working in collaboration colleagues in the wider LRLR. The Librarian (Research) will also contribute to development projects in order to make a demonstrable contribution to LRLR service development as a whole.
The post requires who have at least three to five years related working experience in research services and excellent English writing and communications.
The post will be based at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China.
