SUMMARY: The Manager of Compensation & Benefit will support company senior management and Corporate HR (corporate total Rewards group) in Houston by providing best practice expertise in the functional areas of HR C& B, Responsible for a wide range of C & B functions including but not limited to: Leads payroll and benefit administrative services; Manages welfare and recognition programs; Manage Annual Performance Planning as annual performance appraisal process etc. The Manager shall demonstrate as a strategic of C & B function for the Asia region countries, to ensure HR C & B strategy aligns with business plans and strategic objectives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Strategic Business Partner:The role mainly involves developing and administering HR C & B policies, programs, projects, and practices: including planning, organizing, developing, implementing and coordinating C & B initiatives;To implementation and initiate improvements of all the necessary procedures and policies regarding HR C & B functions provide service to both external and internal customers;Provides strategic insight to the leadership team on HR C & B matters, by developing an accurate viability analysis;Fully supports Company goals of continuous improvement and operational excellence at C & B strategic including reviewing area of responsibility for improvement opportunities to initiate projects or communicate ideas to management as well as active participation on project aspect. 2.Performance Driver:Lead whole performance cycle activities from planning at the beginning of the year to annual appraisal and rewards (salary review and bonus pay-out) at the year ends;Review KPI and performance process, propose to optimize performance program design, incentive plans, etc. for the purpose of increasing level of organizational and individual productivity on continuous basis;Deliver advices, coaching and training activities to business supervisors to improve their capabilities to ‘manage for performance’, and support in all components of performance management. 3.Lead HR C & B projects or programs in the designated business functions or across Asia region countries as needed:Drives HR C & B programs or project, implementation plans to support business/operation needs and flexible enough to cope with changes in the organization;Involve integration project of the HR C & B function across Asia region countries as and when. 4.HR C & B Operations support:Salary and Bonus process management: Plan, prepare and communicate Compensation cycle timelines based on company policy, to make sure that all annual salary and bonus reviews are completed, reviewed, submit and approved on time; May process payroll for single/multiple sites or business units when needed;According to corporate HR C & B policy, Update, optimized design and complete SZ Huasu salary structure with internal balance and outside market competitive, also to be consistent with WLK HR system;Ensures company salary structure and job grade structure are in line with the development and strategic business plans, global HR plans, and manages any changes needs;Welfare plan – Establish proper welfare system internally with market competitive; Manage company HR annual budget process which related to C & B function;Works with local managers on employee C & B matters, advises on and investigates issues related to employee complaints; 5.Other:Performs other incidental and related duties as assigned by supervisor or Corporate Human Resources. Provides assistance to other units as requested. SUPERVISORY RESPONBILITIES Currently None QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and to develop in these areas. Incumbent must have experience in the chemical or manufacturing business. Must be high-integrity, honesty, detailed-oriented, and excellent team player with a strong work ethic and ability to resolve complex, highly sensitive work related issues and to handle multiple priorities. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Must have effective verbal/written/presentation skills with bilingual atmosphere. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree or equivalent required in related HR field.Requires at least 7+ years of work experience in HR C & B functions/ positions, hands-on experience in a manufacturing and technical, multi-national company. Strategic planning, consulting skills and experience on HR C & B functions, to serve as a trusted advisor to the corporate Total Rewards group and local management team.Experience in the major functions of HR C & B to include Compensation, Benefit program/project, Performance management, salary, bonus planning etc.Experience and/or knowledge of a wide range of Compensation and Benefit methodology.Strong written/verbal communication skills; good listening skills; a team player. Written and verbal English a must.Strong PC skills/aptitude. Intermediate Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Experience using HR systems, etc.Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to thrive within a matrix organizational structure.Independent and organized work style: Effectively manage time and prioritize work load, assume and manage multiple tasks without close supervision, adapt to change, and consistently meet deadlines. regularly suggest ways to improve services and processes.
