Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Responsible for Optical Alignment Process in the production line; 2. Identify and implement process improvement alternatives to increase/optimize yield, efficiency and performance 3. Develop an optical alignment process if necessary, perform Design of Experiments (DOE) and process validation, determine process capability (CPK), and define quality control plans; 4. Provide support to the production line for troubleshooting; 5. Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor which arise.Qualifications and Requirements 1. Master’s degree or above, major in automation, or optical telecommunication;2. A minimum of five years of experience in the fiber-optics industry or a related industry; 3. Process engineering experience in optical alignment processes utilized in the fiber-optics industry, as noted above; 4. Take trouble shooting and fix process instability on daily operations and development with other function in plant Consult and report out timely upper level engineering any potential issue Upgrade SOP and support operations for safety improvement, efficiency improvement, process variation reduction, training for key process Focus to meet engineering target by upper organization / plant / region Involve and support any plant level project such as start-up, equipment upgrade, new technology, process improvement, etc. Provide project membership for facility processes - including feasibility studies, planning, complete documentation, i.e., generally accepted project management guidelines. Day to Day Responsibilities: This person is expected to be plant measurement subject matter expert to support all measurement equipment and measurement systems. His/her scope will mainly involve laser measurement, camera image analysis systems and pressure sensors etc. Major responsibility will include three parts: New measurement technology introduction: To be a Point of contact with US division measurements groups. Transfer technical documents to plant, digest technical know-how and deliver training/ technical guide to cross functional groups as necessary. Qualify measurement systems to meet manufacturing needs. Improve plant existing measurement systems: Foresee capability and capacity issues during new product introduction and daily operation. Standardize methods and procedures for measurement systems based on division’s guidelines. Support on-going process improvement projects through new measurement developments. Both lead and as part of project team. Seek cost reduction opportunity with technology improvement. Maintain plant measurement system reliability: Work with plant resource to establish PM activity for measurement systems Establish and monitor ongoing control system. Develop annual MSA plan and coordinate relevant resources to achieve MSA goal. Fundamental understanding of measurement system variation. Minimize machine down time, leverage plant resources for corrective and preventive actions.Requirements: Education & Experience BS or plus in measurement/engineering/control; Work in MNC for more than 3 years.Control/automation/gauge working experience preferred Project management experience preferredUnderstand concepts of measurement system analysis from AIAG and National Measurement Institute, qualified measurement personal certificate preferred.
