PRIMARY PURPOSE: · Develop and execute a Division Outsourcing category strategy for connectors for the Datacom & Specialty Solutions (DSS) Division. Lead new Outsourcing RFQs. Establish and implement programs and initiatives to drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, delivery, and risk reduction. Support the Division’s strategic procurement objectives (e.g., create and maintain competitive advantage, supply base consolidation, improve supplier performance, and support needs of internal & external customers.) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategy: Develop DSS outsourcing category strategies that align with Division’s needs and the Global Outsourcing Strategy. Work closely on strategy development with Global Category Manager and Division Procurement teams. Leadership: Anticipate and lead change. Envision what could be, challenge status quo, and drive change. Continue building a virtual high-performing team to drive increased value with the Outsourced suppliers. Communicate the suppliers’ performance by use of the Supplier Scorecard. Meet regularly with the management team of the key suppliers to assure that our requirements are understood, and/or corrective plans are in place. Achieve year on year performance improvements. Utilize Supplier Inventory Management programs or other Supply Chain Tools as required to improve cash flow, lead time, and cost.Compliance: Conduct all affairs with integrity.
