TE Connectivity’s Technical Engineering Support Teams analyze, test and assist in research for the development of products and processes. Team members will specialize in electrical connectors, cable assemblies, and instrumentation. They may also handle calibration, displays, or environmental health and safety. The Technical Engineering Support Teams are responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. They plan, prioritize, and manage multiple engineering projects; prioritize tasks to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met. They evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project. At times, they may work directly with customers to understand needs, gather customer requirements, identify resources and assess project risks. They create, develop, plan, write and edit operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication, for non-technical and technical users.
As a part of the high -speed signal integrity team the candidate will focus on the electrical testing and characterization of high speed TE Connectivity products.
? Work on signal integrity testing projects.
? Be responsible for the processes, procedures, and equipment associated with a high-speed electrical test lab.
? Interface with engineering, manufacturing, and product teams to guide and assist with daily operations.
Competency or familiarity with the following tools is required:
Network Analyzer (VNA)
Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR)
Oscilloscopes & Equalization
Pattern Generator / BERT
MS Office Tools (i.e. Excel)
? Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or relative major.
? 1-3 years in a related testing environment required.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills, be highly motivated, be a quick learner.
? Good written and verbal English.
? Familiarity with Keysight ADS, PLTS, MATLAB, and/or LabVIEW, a plus.
? Basic familiarity with printed circuit board design, fabrication and assembly is also beneficial.
? Connector and cable assembly knowledge are preferred.
