Position ProfileResponsible for checking compliance with approved credit limit and terms for customers; ensures the proper and accurate recording of all sales and collection transactions from Customers; maintains accurate and updated subsidiary records of customers ESSENTIAL or FUNDAMENTAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES A. Specific Responsibilities CREDIT & COLLECTION Maintains subsidiary ledgers of trade customers for customers showing accounts receivable and collections Checks compliance with approved credit limit and terms of customers Applies customers’ deposits and payments against the recovering. Ensures that floating accounts are properly accounted for and monitored through appropriate suspense accounts to minimize/eliminate the occurrence of floating accounts Prepares the corresponding Journal Voucher (JV) and generates Aging Reports and Statements of Accounts, and Sales and Collection Reports monthly ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLES Prepares reconciliation of Customers accounts as follows: Accounts Receivable Subsidiary Ledger (ARSL) balances against the customers’ payable balances or responses to the statements of account ARSL totals against the General Ledger receivable balance Total of customers’ deposits against the General Ledger balance 7. Prepares and records adjustments involving sales, receivables, and collections 8. Monitors collection of accounts of Customers and evaluates adequacy of allowances for accounts that are doubtful of collection 9. Prepares credit/debit memo for any adjustment or correction of errors affecting sales, collections, and accounts receivable. 10. Coordinates with other AR Accountants for AR activities. 11. Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the Cash Management Manager B. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures that all the important transactions of REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES) Education: Diploma in Bachelor of Science in AccountancyExperience: At least five year experience in receivables accountingOther Skills: Must speak and write fluently in English Must be hardworking, systematic, and assertive Must be computer literate in accounting software Must be strong analytical and interpersonal skills Must have good written and oral communication skills
