ProMotion China Ph.D. Programme aims to attract, cultivate and retain high potential local and external Ph.D. students into future technical experts.
Provide the acknowledge of automotive plastic, for possible CO2 emission reduction.
Create the technical solutions for further parts recycling improvement, to increase team working efficiency and recycling parts predictability.
Support to achieve recycled material ratio target for current and new project.
Use the offered resources, experiences and knowledge to work carefully on the Ph.D. topic
Support business which is relevant to Ph.D. research and study
Take part in and support events, trainings and acitvities as part of ProMotion
Introducing the recycling plastic material into BMW components is one major measure in this working package
Deeply research the recycled material applications in the exterior and interior plastic parts, such as PC, ABS, PP, PA66 and etc
Deeply research the recycled material in chemical and physical properties, chemical reaction mechanism and also plastic material property change
Deeply research the recycled material segment(such as PIR and PCR), manufacturing process, and also the latest development concept of recycled material
Master degree in Polymer Material, Organic Chemistry
College English Test level 6

Industry knowledge: understanding the way your auto industry functions and how data can be collected, analyzed and utilized; maintain flexibility in the face of big data development
Project Management, planning and realization
Capability for teamwork
Self-initiative, improvisation skills
Proficient English, German would be an advantage
Familiar with automotive plastic material
Familiar with non-metal material thermoforming process
Familiar with GB standard on engineering plastic material
At least 3 months internship; or working experience in University Student Union or Association;
One published paper; or research experience in research projects
